Our Kenyan client, one of the leading manufacturers of quality animal feeds in
the East African region seeks to recruit a Plant Manager.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the primary purpose of the plant manager is to manage and control plant operations consistent with cost, profit, quality and productivity objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the production of quality products in line with stipulated production plans and costs.
Set production targets for various products and continuously align them to prevailing conditions and requirements.
Oversee the implementation of regular maintenance activities of the Plant and Machinery.
Ensure optimum stock holding of materials and spares consistent with requirements.
Ensure the SHE regulations and rules are adhered to.
Supervise production staff and lead the performance management including their deployment, Learning and development and welfare in line with company policy.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering or any other related field.
Minimum Six (6) years experience in production management and plant operations 3 of which should be in senior management.
Good administration and demonstrated people management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
