A leading tourist lodge seeks to recruit suitable candidates for the above mentioned position

Location; Tsavo West- food and board provided.

The successful candidate must be willing to live and work in the bush with limited social life and no mobile phone operators.

Qualification
Recognized certificate of training in automotive engineering/ repair or related

Certificate of good conduct

Age 25-35 years

Minimum 3years working experience

Minimum of 3 last employers referees

Responsibilities

Responsible for the maintenance of the fleet, (to keep vehicle in good condition in collaboration with the drivers).

Carries out services of the vehicles of the lodge in collaboration with the drivers.

To monitor and organize spare-part, fuel and lubricants stock, requirements, consumption and to Nairobi office and to report monthly to the Logistics Manager

Manage the workshop operations on a daily basis especially tool management

Maintenance of generators and other power engines, water pumps etc.

Monitor vehicle and generator maintenance schedules

Must have at least 3 years work experience in a busy motor vehicle workshop; with good working knowledge of Toyota Land cruiser, Landover 300TDI, motor bikes, four tracks, tractors etc.

Stock management experience preferred.

Good working knowledge of electrical systems especially Solar/Generator systems.

Excellent leadership qualities and ability to work very well in a multi-cultural environment.

Ability to work in relatively harsh environments.

Available to begin immediately.

Holder of Clean certificate of good conduct.

Plumbers (2)

Recognized certificate of training in plumbing &drainage or equivalent

Certificate of good conduct

Age 25-35 years

Minimum 3years working experience

Minimum of 3 last employers referees

Responsibilities

Maintenance of the following:

Ensure continuous availability of water

Maintenance of all plumbing and drainage works

Skills in fabrication, alteration, repair and maintenance of masonry (such as walls, sidewalks, street curbs, pavements, floors, staircases, sink counters, partitions, manholes etc.).

Sound knowledge of safety precautions necessary while undertaking construction works.

Ability to undertake painting works of houses, offices, water tanks etc.

Knowledge of water treatment plant operations.

Knowledge of water dynamics.

Should have wide experience in installations of boilers, water pumps, gas piping.

Some knowledge on electrical related fields.

Having worked in a hospitality industry is an added advantage

Assemble and install valves and fittings

Test pipes systems and fixtures for leaks.

Maintaining all building codes, installation requirements and relevant Regulations.

Perform scheduled maintenance and service on plumbing systems and fixtures.

Apply all codes of installation and repairs and maintenance.

Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate code and environmental protection requirement.

Prepare plumbing budget and order of supplies.

Requirements,

Proficient knowledge in water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial or industrial buildings.

Knowledge in the relevant building codes and regulations, procedures and maintenance,

Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings.

More than three years of experience in the field.

Carpenters (2)

Recognized certificate of training in carpentry, woodwork & or equivalent

Certificate of good conduct

Age 25-35 years

Minimum 3years working experience

Minimum of 3 last employers referees

Responsibilities

Knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.

Proficient at the following tasks: stain-grade trim work, hang doors, drill and set door hardware, set windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, read blueprints,

Utilize appropriate math skills to do material estimates.

Maintain doors, windows, furniture and other items

Monitor and replace weather stripping

Maintain building interiors and exteriors

Demonstrate a high ability and skill to work with wood
